Green Coffee And Garcinia Cambogia – You’ll Never Guess Which Is Best…

a comparison of garcinia cambogia vs green coffeeGarcinia cambogia and green coffee bean are becoming two of the most popular weight loss supplements, but the question is, can you safely use them both? Do they actually work? I’ve spent 3 months trawling through research papers, talking to specialists, and people who have taken both pills and here is what I discovered…

We all know how easy it is to put on weight in this day and age. Before you realise it's happening, you’ve put on way more fat than is good for you, and are having to face the reality that certain health problems are staring you down.

To make matters worse it comes up again and again how the food corporations are stuffing our food full of artificial this, processed that, as well as tons of hidden salt and sugar. And it’s impossible to stick to those fasting diets, and “insane” workouts…

So it's only natural to look for a better way. But what exactly is it about these two supplements that make them so in-demand? In the past few months several popular doctors and celebrities have been spreading the word about the suprising results that they are getting with both of these extracts.

I came across several studies, and one of the most interesting done by Dr. Eleanor Hanslow:

…It’s a really exciting time for us. Out of 230 of our patients on both regimes, about 150 are reporting weight loss of around 4-5 pounds per week. Another 40 are maintaining a steady 2 pounds per week.

And this is what Carol Flindon, one of the participants in the trial, told us:

…I was skeptical at first but I really wanted to make a change and the usual diets hadn’t worked for me. So I started on the Garcinia Cambogia and Green Coffee hybrid regime, and after a week I could start to see the difference. I didn’t feel as hungry, and had a lot more energy than I used to. After a few more days, the pounds started dropping…and here I am today!

To achieve this result, Dr. Hanslow had the participants take 1×400 mg green coffee bean extract and garcinia cambogia 1×1000 mg capsule half an hour before dinner and breakfast. Each participant was asked to track their progress each day in a journal, and that’s how the results came to be known.

The following are just some of the latest scientific findings that appear to prove the two supplements do burn fat, without extreme diets or exercise.

What The Scientific Research Reveals

Natural garcinia cambogia has been used by ancient peoples to lose weight for a long time, but it only gained public attention after it was featured by Dr. Oz, and since then it’s been all over the news. Dr. Oz was also the one who spoke highly of benefits of raw coffee, but are the claims true?

After months of research and speaking with health experts about the efficiency of these pills, it turns out you cantake them both without experiencing any major side effects, so long as you ramp up slowly.

For me though, what’s really surprising about taking garcinia cambogia with green coffee extract is that your hunger pangs disappear as well, and yet there were no reports of fatigue that often comes with more synthetic types of diet pills.

That’s one of the hardest things about dieting of course: what you do is try to cut down your meals but you just end up feeling hungry and weak. But that’s not going to be a problem when taking both of these extracts, because you not only lose pounds, but the urge to keep eating.

In recent years, we have all become more health conscious, but at the same time we're wary of new untested treatments and the potential side effects that these might involve.

What Does This Tell Us?

First of all it tells us the two supplements don’t contradict one another, and there are no side effects if you take them both. Second, you’ll lose more pounds this way than engaging in rigorous workouts. I’m not saying you should not exercise, but rather that moderate workouts coupled with these two supplements will produce better results. A further boost can be attained by including a garcinia cambogia and colon cleanse into your regime.

Garcinia Cambogia and Green Coffee Bean Extract

Also known as Garcinia Gummi-gutta extract, the supplement has become a byword among those who want to lose weight the natural way, but the same thing can be said for green coffee. As I pointed out earlier, research shows that there’s no conflict between the two, but there are still some who want to compare both.

First of all I would like to stress that both supplements work very well, but they do so differently. Here’s a brief explanation of how these supplements burn fat as well as the evidence supporting them.

A Closer Look At Green Coffee

The active ingredient here is Chlorogenic acid, and this more than anything other is responsible for burning fat in your body. According to research, Chlorogenic acid works by slowing the amount of glucose that your liver puts in your bloodstream.

If there’s not enough glucose in your bloodstream, your body is left with no choice but to tap into the stored fat and use it as energy, and this of course leads to weight loss. Apart from losing weight, an added benefit is it takes away your hunger pangs so you can lose pounds without feeling deprived of food.

Green Coffee – The Evidence

There are a growing number of studies proving that coffee bean supplements are effective, including one study done by Dr. Joe A Vinson. In this rigidly controlled, double blind, placebo trial, the participants that availed of the lost several more pounds compared to those that used placebo.

Another study was done by Dr. Oz with 100 women participating, and half of which were given the extract of the raw coffee and the other half placebo. None of them were asked to change their diet, but after a couple of weeks those who took the natural coffee extract lost more pounds than those that took placebo, leading credence to the earlier studies.

The best part about these studies is healthy participants reported no side effects, and by just taking three 400 mg 45% Chlorogenic acid tablets a day they started losing weight.

A Closer Look At Garcinia Cambogia

Reviews of naturally extracted garcinia have been very positive, and the key to weight loss is hydroxycitric acid or HCA. HCA is similar to the Chlorogenic acid in that it suppresses your appetite, but it burns fat differently.

Researchers are not yet entirely sure how it works, but essentially what it does is increase the serotonin in your brain, the chemical that tells your body to stop eating. I would also like to point out that serotonin is the same chemical that keeps people from emotional eating binges, so higher levels are great.

But that’s not all that HCA does, because it also keeps the enzyme citrate lyase from being released. This is the enzyme that turns food carbohydrate into fat, which is one of the reasons why you get fat.

But since HCA inhibits this enzyme, your body’s ability to store fat is slowed down, and the remaining fat cells will be used as energy.

Garcinia Cambogia – The Evidence

Like the raw coffee, there’s scientific evidence that GC is essential for weight loss. One of these studies was done at Purdue University and the results are impressive to say the least.

The subjects were given 400 mg doses of GC half an hour before meals, and after 12 weeks each participant had lost more than 8 lbs. And the best part about this is the participants didn’t even need to do more exercise or go on a crash diet.

I also found out that Georgetown University also did an 8 week study wherein the participants lost 5.4% of their body weight. In both studies, the participants were given 60% HCA, so you need to make sure that the supplement you take has that amount. As for the dose, 800 mg to 1000 mg will be necessary.

As far as side effects go, none has been reported so far, and that’s not really surprising because this is a natural product. However if you’re taking any kind of medication for a medical condition, ask your doctor first, and you should do the same with green coffee beans.

Our Verdict

As you can see, the study done by Dr. Hanslow shows that both supplements are effective and safe, so there’s nothing wrong when taking these supplements together before meals. Neither has any significant side effects unless taken in extremely high doses and they are both convenient to use. On their own, each supplement should work well, but if you want to try both there’s nothing wrong with it either.

By trying both, you’ll be able to determine which one works best for you. Take 1 x 400 mg raw coffee bean capsule half an hour twice a day before meals for a week, and then do the same with 1 x 1000 mg of garcinia. But defer to the instructions on each bottle when in doubt.

We have managed to track down the same labs that Dr Hanslow used. They graciously agreed to supply our readers with 50 trial bottles of their supplements, but could not guarantee more than that. All you need to do is pay $4.97 for postage and packaging and the bottles will be sent to you.

Whatever you decide, we urge you to get help somewhere.
